Why Heart Rate Exercises Are Good For Your Health

While it is hard to single out which is the most important part of the body or organ, the heart quickly comes to mind because of the role it plays keeping a person alive. It is therefore important that one takes utmost care of the heart. The heart beats the life into our bodies.

One way of keeping the heart alive and health is through exercising, experts at The City Gym revealed. The City Gym located at Kampala Boulevard building on Kampala Road is a premium gym with state of the art equipment important from Tecno Gym Italy.

The City Gym offers specific heart rate exercises to make the heart strong so that it doesn't have to work as hard to pump blood. The blood provides your body with the oxygen and nutrients it needs. It also carries away waste.

“At The City Gym we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a fit and healthy lifestyle. So we have made it simple, affordable & convenient for everyone to achieve their personal health goals,” a gym instructor at The City Gym said.

Exercises like aerobic, spinning, dance and jogging make your heart stronger. This helps it pump more blood with each heartbeat. This delivers more oxygen to your body. With more oxygen, your body functions more efficiently.

Exercise can also lower blood pressure. It reduces your risk of heart disease and reduces levels of bad cholesterol. Bad cholesterol can clog the arteries and can cause a heart attack. At the same time, exercise can raise levels of good cholesterol. Good cholesterol helps protect against a heart attack by carrying fatty deposits out of the arteries.

If you haven’t been exercising, try to work up to 30 minutes, 4 to 6 times a week. Your doctor may recommend a different exercise regimen based on your health. Alternate exercise days with rest days or days you do a very different type of exercise. This will help prevent injuries.

Diet and exercise are an important part of your heart health. If you don’t eat a good diet and you don’t exercise, you are at increased risk of developing health problems. These include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. These increase your risk of heart attack and stroke.

When combined with a healthy diet, exercise can speed up weight loss. Regular exercise builds lean muscle, which burns more calories than fat. This helps you burn calories faster, even when you’re sitting still.

Weight Lifting: Looking Beyond Body Mass

Body building and weight lifting is an old fantasy for many young men worldwide when growing up. It is looked at as a form of style that comes with health benefits like being fit and social benefits like being sexy.

While these are true assumptions, experts at The City Gym on Kampala Boulevard building on Kampala Road suggest that weight lifting offers more than what meets the eye. According to the pros, the health benefits of bulging up your musles are enormous.

“Weight lifting isn't just about bulking up and building muscle mass. It’s benefits include improved posture, better sleep, gaining bone density, maintaining weight loss, boosting metabolism, lowering inflammation and staving off chronic disease, among a laundry list of positives.

Weight lifting doesn’t only give you sculpted arms and a big, wide back, but it can also increase your metabolism, help you lose weight, and even extend your life. Weight lifting is so important, in fact, that some health experts recommend prioritizing it over cardio.

“Above all, however, always lift weights more often than doing cardio. The repeated impact of running, linear motion of biking, swimming or rowing, and endless creations of the same movement pattern and ROM can create muscle imbalances over time that can lead to joint problems,” Lee Boyce, a strength coach, wrote in a Men’s Fitness article.

Sports Releases Stress Among Pupils – KPS Principal

Pupils who predominantly participate in sports activities are able to shed of stress and renew their lives, Daphne Kato, the Principal of Kampala Parents’ School has said. She was speaking recently at the school’s sports day.

While many people think that stress is for adults, new studies and experts have said that toddlers can easily be affected especially if they don’t find a balance between class work, play time and domestic chores.

The Principal emphasized the importance of sports in the school curriculum. She stated that sports help relieve pupils' stress from hours of classes, help keep their minds healthy and teach them skills such as sharing, communicating, taking turns as well as coping with disappointment.

Also, children's participation in sports at an early age works to develop their physique, cognitive skills, social relationships thus identifying and tapping into the different talents these children may have.

This approach has helped Kampala Parents’ School to perform well over the years including finishing as the top primary school in Kampala district in national primary leaving examination.

The school has some of the sports facilities and continues to do well in schools competitions. “We strive to make our pupils both mentally and physically strong so that they can make a positive contribution to their communities and wider world.” Daphne Kato, the school head said.

She explained that the school balances indoor and outdoor activities that include cognitive learning as well as physical exertion. “At Kampala Parents’ School we pride ourselves on listening to each unique child, and those who care for them, and use this information to personalize each child’s learning.”

“We are passionate about helping our children to develop a love for reading. We train them to be proactive and fast thinkers so that they can handle this ever demanding and fast changing world” she added.

She called on parents to take their children to Kampala Parents’ School this year so that they are part of quality education offered at the Naguru based school. The school is currently recruiting and accepting application from new pupils.
