COVID19: Fresh Dairy Donates Milk Powder Worth Shs500M

Fresh Dairy Friday donated milk powder worth Shs500m to the National Response Fund for Covid – 19, under the office of the Prime Minister.
This was in a bid to ensure that the less privileged/ vulnerable as well as those in Quarantine in Uganda can maintain a healthy and nutritious diet during this period, which is aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19.
Marketing Manager Fresh Dairy – Vincent Omoth said the donation was their appreciation to the government for its efforts towards the containment of Covid-19 in Uganda.
“As a company, we acknowledge that winning this fight requires mobilization of significant amounts of resources from both the public and private sector. It is such combined efforts that will go a long way in the further containment of Covid-19 in Uganda.’
General Manager Sales, Fresh Dairy Joseph Awino said the donation is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility through which ‘we are giving back to the community in which we operate.’ “We believe that this milk powder donation will help support the less privileged/vulnerable families as well as those in Quarantine to maintain a healthy and nutritious diet.”
The Minister of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, who is also the Coordinator- National Task Force on COVID-19 Response Hon Mary Karooro thanked Fresh Dairy for the generous donation on behalf of the President and the people of Uganda. She thanked Fresh Dairy for hiding to the President’s call to donate food relief items.
Fresh Dairy produces a wide range of products to include Fresh milk, flavoured milk, Long life or UHT milk, powdered milk, Yoghurt, Butter, Ghee and Cream.
