Mulago Hospital’s Pediatric Unit was Thursday morning the proud recipient of gift hampers from Ruparelia Foundation’s Happiness Hampers Initiative delivered by Naiya Ruparelia, a trustee of the foundation. 240 children in the children's ward of Mulago benefited from Naiya's generosity.
The Ruparelia Foundation basing on their catchphrase “Enriching Lives Together” has embarked on a mission to bring smiles and remind those in need that their community cares about them. Starting with the children at the Pediatric unit at Mulago Hospital in Kampala.
The Happiness Hampers initiative will take place quarterly as a means of ‘bringing a smile’ to the kids and their families by providing hampers and gifts that celebrate their continued strength and wish them a quick recovery.
“We admire their strength and hope that they get well soon. We will do this quarterly but we hope to eventually have it become a monthly activity with sponsorships from more people,” Naiya said.
These Hampers have been prepared with the utmost care using donated goods from the Ruparelia Foundation and our partners like - Lato Milk, Shreeji Stationers and Kampala Siti Industries Limited who donated products ranging from milk, drawing books, colouring pencils and toilet paper.
